Porridge with Rosehip and Lavender 

Here’s a winter warming recipe to boost your immune system and treat your nervous system.

I sprinkle a bit of Rosehip tea and dried lavender in my porridge, and add some coconut water to sweeten – it tastes delicious and these two power herbs have amazing benefits for your body.

Rosehip: The top benefits of rosehip tea include reducing inflammation, lowering your risk of heart disease, fighting cancer, and detoxifying the body. It is also good for strengthening the immune system, protecting the skin, easing chronic pain, and optimizing the digestive system.

Lavender: Lavender is believed to have antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Research suggests that it may also be useful for treating anxiety, insomnia, depression, and restlessness.

Ingredients 


Half teaspoon of Rosehip tea
Half teaspoon of Lavender (dried)
Half cup of porridge
Half cup coconut water to sweeten

Method

  1. Add the porridge to a bowl along with the coconut water.
  2. Microwave for 2 mins.
  3. Stir porridge and add more coconut water if required.
  4. Sprinkle over the Rosehip and Lavender and enjoy.
