There is a slight misconception that all you have to do is wish your dreams and desires into reality.
Wishing is a good start but not necessarily the thing which will help you achieve your goals.
Visualising your dreams is an important companion to boost your efforts however taking action towards that which you desire is the key to make things happen for you.
When you focus on and ask for what you want, you set your intention and is sending a message to the universe that you are willing to make this desire or dreams happen in your life.
When you express and define your desires passionately and openly, opportunities start coming your way, you meet the right people and the universe lines up everything for you.
Be aware of these opportunities, listen to your heart and decide which ones you’ll go for or which people you can collaborate with or work with to realise your dreams and desires.
However many of us sit on the fence out of fear or we wait until everything is “perfect” before we want to take action.
Nothing is perfect and no one expects you to be perfect – just be you! There is never a better time than now to take action.
I know it can be really scary to fail, I’ve been there – but what’s the worst that can happen?
It’s better to fail than to never try.
Taking action towards your dreams and desires helps to raise your vibration, sending out a positive message to the universe – the more positive energy (not overwhelm) you put into something, the more results you achieve.
I cannot tell you how often I’ve thought “but I’m not good enough” or “will people even listen to me” or “I’m not worthy” – so often I’ve played small because my fear was greater than my desire.
That’s until I decided I’m just going to wing it! I’m going to start somewhere and take small actions towards my goals.
The hardest part about having a vision is that you sometimes try things and it turns out completely the opposite from what you initially wanted or thought. Brush it off, re-assess, ask for help from your support network and keep going!
Perseverance and just doing, just getting on with it one step at a time is important to the successful birthing of your dreams and desires.
I found that the following really helps me to achieve my desires and goals.
Tips for taking action towards your goals:
1. Have a game plan! Create a dreams and desires board – add pictures, words, sentences to this board and stick it up somewhere you can see it every day. This will help you visualise and feel excited about taking action towards reaching your goals. Add to it whenever you want.
2. Write motivational quotes or words on sticky notes and place them all around you for example, I am the master of my own reality. I am a confident, I can do this!
3. Write down your goals and the 2 actions you’re going to take to make a start – affirming them in writing helps you to strengthen your intention.
4. Keep track of what you’ve achieved and celebrate your achievements by crossing them off your list or you can be a little more creative and use the goal tracker here to see your actions and goals in colour.
