When we choose to enter into the forgiveness process we are choosing to overcome the darkness of un-forgiveness with light and love.

These days we are always reminded by media and social media about the hate and violence happening in the world. I know I’ve certainly asked the question many times: Why does it have to be this way? Why is this happening? Why do we have to put up with this mindless violence and hate?

Yet we are all guilty of sometimes fueling hate and animosity in our own relationships and lives.

If we deliberately choose to hold onto grudges and resentment, we are active participants in keeping negative thoughts and feelings alive. However, we can choose again ….

Forgiveness isn’t always easy to forget and it takes time to heal any hurts or injustice. Some hurts are too painful to remove from our memory. The mind works in wonderful ways – if we forget all the lessons we learned we might make the same mistakes again.

We can send love to those we need to forgive without touching or seeing them. You might ask … why would I do that? I’m still hurting … by sending love to that person or situation you are letting go of your hurt – this act of love is for your benefit.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean that we have to put up with repetitive intolerable behaviour and it doesn’t mean that you have to excuse or condone the hurt that was reflected upon you.

Forgiveness is simply a process where we seek to eliminate from our mind and heart all the resentment and hurt that we are holding in our being because of what someone said or did towards us.

In fact, it’s like having an operation on your heart and soul and removing the bits of venom which makes us hurt.

Forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves so we can move forward and not be held back by negative feelings. We can choose to forgive even though we might not forget.

Love heals all. Today choose to send love energy to those who hurt you and who are hurting.

Forgiveness is a divine energy and a gift to help us through the darkest moments.

With love and light,
Natali
